Software Engineer & Technical Manager Dubai · Remote

Own the AWS infrastructure behind a professional networking platform serving 10,000+ active users — EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3 and RDS.
Built a multi-channel event-lifecycle notification system — email through SendGrid, in-app, and push through Firebase — with cron-scheduled reminders segmented by participant type at 3-day, 24-hour, day-of and post-event intervals. ~90% of active users engaged with it inside the first quarter.
Rebuilt the gallery upload pipeline around S3 presigned URLs, removing server-side 413s and timeouts entirely. A 200-image, ~4GB batch went from 20–30 minutes at near-zero success to 5–10 minutes at ~99%.
Refactored the Meetings API into a RESTful v2: split a 2,250-line monolith into 7 domain-scoped services, built the availability engine that had never existed, and closed authentication gaps on endpoints that previously had none.
Lead a team of three — sprint priorities, code review, mentoring.
Cut infrastructure spend ~20% by right-sizing and automating consolidation of redundant services.

Integrated third-party payment APIs across multiple providers and methods behind a single checkout flow, treating transaction integrity and data consistency as the governing constraint rather than an afterthought.
Built the merchant payment-link flow end to end — generation, hosted payment page, sharing — so merchants could collect money with no developer involvement.
Extended the Ecom Store platform with customisable storefronts and sales-management tooling.
Refactored the legacy Express backend, consolidating duplicated logic and simplifying the request layer.
